For over 20 years, Nancy Grant has been “in the trenches” with job seekers to strategize and guide their journey to take the next step professionally. Working both privately and publicly, through a contract with New York State, Department of Education ACCES-VR services, Nancy owns and operates Regional Career and Employment Services in the Finger Lakes of NY.
Having worked with over a thousand individuals, Nancy is authentically passionate to help others identify their workstyle so that they can enjoy their lifestyle. Matched by her genuine enthusiasm, are her skills at crafting customized resumes and generating marketing collateral to promote a candidate’s professional brand.
Since the inception of her independent practice in 2003, Nancy has stayed engaged and invested in continuous professional development as a way to remain current on emerging trends, industries and subject matter relevant to those she serves. This includes contributing to many professional consortiums both as a member and in a leadership capacity, such as the National Resume Writers’ Association, Rochester Area Employment Network and the International Association for Workforce Professionals, where she was honored with the Customer Service Award for New York State.
What motivates Nancy the most, is her passion for serving young adults or returning students while engaged in higher education in a part time capacity with Finger Lakes Community College, as a member of the Academic Success and Access Programs team. Recently, Nancy completed 10 years of service on the Alumni Association, Board of Directors for her beloved alma mater, Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH; culminating in her role as Chair. Although still engaged as an advisory member for a variety projects, she is always ready to step up where needed and take on new challenges. Nancy is honored to have been selected Chair of the 2019 Conference Planning Committee for the National Resume Writers’ Association’s 22nd annual conference and very first conference at sea.
