The NRWA 2020 Annual Conference
September 13 - 15, 2020 | New Orleans, Louisiana
Activities and Excursions
Explore the exciting sights and sounds of New Orleans at the 2020 NRWA Annual Conference. When you’re not gaining valuable insights or connecting with peers at the conference, find out what distinguishes New Orleans as a top tourist destination.
The NRWA is excited to provide two opportunities for our attendees. These excursions are in addition to conference registration and do not conflict with any daytime educational sessions. Attendees are welcome to register for these excursions, or explore the city on their own in the evening.
Attendees can register for excursions at the time of their initial conference registration, or add them on at a later time (subject to availability).
French Quarter Ghosts & Legends Walking Tour
Presented by Haunted History Tours
Sunday, September 13, 2020
8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m, CT
Tour Leaves from the Royal Sonesta Hotel
$30.00 (includes tour and gratuity for guide)
On this private tour for NRWA conference attendees, visit the French Quarter’s most haunted locations!
Discover New Orleans’ dark side on this two‐hour haunted history ghost tour. Hear tales of famous hauntings from your local guide, and visit the French Quarter’s most infamous and eerie locations — hotspots for paranormal investigators and historical videographers. By the end, you see the Vieux Carré in a different (and profoundly more ominous) light.
Your expert guide will lead you on a leisurely walk around the French Quarter, the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans. The tour will include a brief break in the middle where you can grab a refreshment.
These New Orleans walking tours are always rooted in history and feature historically accurate storytelling. The ghost tour combines the ancient art of storytelling with historic research and documentation about ghosts and haunting in New Orleans. Unlike a theatrical fantasy tour relying on costumes and camp, we draw heavily on the drama of history. Discover interesting sites that you might otherwise pass without notice.
